- Print Darkness (Able to change on the printer or in the driver) - the lower the number, the lighter the print out, typically have to change the number, test print, and adjust again if necessary
- Print Speed (Able to change on the printer or in the driver) - The lower the speed, the longer it takes to print, but the more time the printer has to apply the printed data to the label, lower speeds typically result in clearer print outs and fewer smudging or smearing issues, typically have to adjust this for quality vs. total time to print labels, as the slower the print speed, the longer the overall job takes to print
- Ribbon tensioner - some Zebra printers have an option to adjust the tension of the ribbon against the labels at print time, the harder the ribbon is pressed against the labels at print time, the darker the print out usually is.
