- Open the Label format in BarTender
- Go to File->Print
- Select the new printer from the drop down list, then select Document Properties on the right hand side:
- Using a Zebra printer as an example -> make sure to select the correct printer
- Within the Document Properties, you should have an option to set the Height and Width of the label stock, as well as the orientation and and media detection, it could be on different tabs within the properties, for instance you would see this in a Zebra Drive
- Set the correct height and width for the template and set the media type and orientation if necessary
- Click Ok to close out the printer settings, and then close the print dialog window
- Next, double check the Page Setup within BarTender to make sure the template is set to the correct size
- Go to File->Page Setup
- Within the page setup menu, go to the Page Tab, second from the left and verify that the correct label size is specific, either from the dropdown or by manually setting the Width and Height:
- Next we will go to the Layout tab to verify that we don't have any added margins being passed, it should look roughly like this for the 1.75x0.75 label size:
- Click Ok to close out of the Page Setup menu
- Save the BarTender label format
- Print a set of test labels from Lucid Source against the label format and see if the labels print properly
- If they do, repeat these steps for the other templates as needed.
