Dutchie can be configured to disable the +/- buttons in checkout carts. To configure this functionality, follow this guide:
Require staff to scan products in the Dutchie Register > Hide plus and minus buttons in the cart
When scanning a LucidID into your cart, there are additional display features of each Product in a cart, including a display of the count of LucidIDs scanned, disabling of the "-" for a Product, and a green or red outline around the Product.
Adjusting Item Quantity
The plus button allows you to increase the allocated inventory:
Clicking the plus icon will increase the inventory allocation. When inventory allocation is increase, or when an Product is added to a cart manually but sufficient LucidIDs have not yet been scanned into the cart, the outline will change to red and the green check icon will become a red "X". The quantity of LucidIDs scanned into the cart for this Product out of the total required to be scanned in will also be updated.
When additional inventory is added to a cart using the "+" button, the "-" may become enabled. You can use the "-" to reduce inventory count allocation down to the count of LucidIDs currently scanned in for the Product.
Scanning another LucidID of this product will allocate that LucidID to the available inventory count for that Product, and when all of the required LucidIDs have been scanned in, the Product line will display with a green outline and green checkbox.
Removing Items From a Cart
To remove scanned LucidIDs, it is best to use the "Remove LucidID" button and scan the LucidIDs you wish to remove. You can remove multiple LucidIDs using this method.
NOTE: The "Remove LucidID" button will only appear if Dutchie is configured to display +/- buttons.
To remove the entire Product, click on the three dots on the right side of the Product line, then click the "Remove item" menu option.
All scanned LucidIDs for this Product will be removed and the Product will be removed from the cartl.
Additionally, you can use the "Clear Cart" menu option available from the "..." button at the top of the cart, which remove all products and scanned LucidIDs from the cart.
Manually Adding Items Using "Add Items"
Click on the "Add items" button at the top of your cart:
Search for the item you want to add:
You will see a red warning informing you that this package uses LucidIDs and requires scanning. You can also adjust the quantity of this product you wish to add to cart (this can also be adjusted in the cart as seen above).
When ready, click "Add to Cart" and you will see this message:
When you return to the cart, you will see your newly added item highlighted in red with a red "X" as well indicating a LucidID needs to be scanned for this line item:
Upon scanning the LucidID for this product, the cart will update to look like this:
Checkout
When all LucidIDs and other items are fully scanned into the cart (LucidID Products are all outlined in green), you may proceed with checkout as normal.
If you click the checkout button while a Product is highlighted in red, you will see the following message:
The message will show all the Products with LucidIDs along with the status of LucidID scans for each Product.
If there are 0 LucidIDs missing and a green checkmark, this Product is ready for checkout.
If there are 1 or more LucidIDs missing and a red "X", additional LucidID must be scanned into the cart for that Product, or the allocated inventory must be reduced.
The checkout process will allow you to complete checkout even if all LucidID have not been scanned into the cart. Use this option if one or more LucidIDs cannot be scanned due to damage.
Be aware that when using this option, the LucidIDs that have not been scanned will not be removed from your inventory and will not be marked as sold, and customer scans of those sold-but-not-scanned LucidIDs will not display the retailer or order information to the consumer.
Scan LucidIDs
To scan the missing LucidIDs, click on "Scan LucidIDs" to return to the cart.
You can either scan any additional LucidIDs for products in the cart, or reduce the quantity to match the scanned LucidIDs.
Checkout without Scanning LucidIDs
If you proceed to checkout without scanning the LucidIDs then Dutchie will still deduct the correct number of products matching the value before the + sign:
After clicking "Checkout without Scanning LucidIDs", you will be able to continue the checkout process.
