LucidRetail LITE: Troubleshooting the Chrome Profile

Chrome extensions add features and functions to a browser. In this case, the LucidRetail LITE Google Chrome extension will add inventory and POS features to optimize the experience with these systems. 

To make sure LucidRetail LITE is properly functioning with Google Chrome, make sure there is only one Google Chrome profile on all terminals (specifically POS devices) and that the Google Chrome profile has LucidRetail LITE installed.

Follow these steps:

1. Check how many Chrome profiles are in use. There should only be one.
   
   • On your terminal, open Chrome.
   • At the top right, click Profile icon.
   • In addition to the Guest profile, you should only see one Chrome profile (POS). See the example below (instead of Mirtala Sanchez, you’ll see the profile titled POS):
     
     
     
     
     
     

2. Remove any extra profile(s), if applicable:
   
   • On your terminal, open Chrome.
   • At the top right, click Profile
   • Next to "Other Profiles," click the gear icon to manage profiles
   • Hover over the profile you want to remove
   • At the top right of the profile, click the three vertical dots, then click "Delete"
   • To confirm, click "Delete"
     
     Important: After you remove a profile from Chrome, the profile's bookmarks, history, passwords, and other settings are erased from the computer.

3. Add a new POS profile, if it’s not already present
   
   • On your terminal, open Chrome.
   • At the top right, click Profile
   • Click Add 
   • Click "Sign in" if the POS has a Google Account, otherwise click "Continue without an account"
     
     
     
     
   • If you choose to Sync to your Google profile, the profile name will automatically be the account name and LucidRetail LITE will be synced with this Google profile.
   • If needed, choose a name, photo and color scheme.

4. Make sure LRL is installed
   
   • Sign into POS system
   • Go to an Inventory or POS checkout screen and confirm you see the LRL status display with a green dot on the top right area of your POS. See below
