The following instructions will properly configure a Socket Mobile SocketScan 700 Series Barcode Scanner to pair with Bluetooth.
Important: Make sure the scanner is not connected to a host computer or device before scanning a command barcode.

Factory Reset
Bluetooth Connection
Please ensure you follow all instructions below in order. Restart at the beginning to reset your scanner. Important: Test the scanner at the end using the final step of the instructions to ensure your scanner is configured correctly.
- If the scanner was already connected to a device previously, see the Pairing Reset section below to make the scanner Bluetooth discoverable again
- Scan the following barcode to configure the scanner for Basic Mode (HID) Keyboard mode:
- Determine if you would like the scanner to automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, or you would like to manually pair it each time:
Important: After scanning this command barcode, power off and power on the
barcode reader to make sure it is configured properly
- Power on the barcode reader. Make sure the barcode reader is
discoverable (unpaired). The Blue light blinks fast. Scan the barcode below:
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your device
- In the device list, tap on S7XX [xxxxxx]. Tap Pair.
- The barcode reader will beep once after it has connected
- Test to make sure your scanner is working properly by following the instructions in Testing Your USB or Bluetooth Connected Barcode/QR Code Scanner for Proper Configuration

Troubleshooting
- After resetting the scanner, if it opens different windows when scanning a QR code or tabs to different fields, you may need to uninstall and re-install Google Chrome.
- If you find that scanning a QR code or LucidID is not recognized by the POS system, you may need to unplug and re-plug in the USB scanner.
