In addition to using QR codes for specific scanners available in our help library, you can also use Zebra's 123Scan to configure a Zebra/Motorola/Symbol scanner.
- With your scanner connected via USB to your Windows computer, open Zebra 123Scan, and click on the "Data View" tab.
- Confirm that your scanner is showing up as connected. If your scanner is not showing up, follow support instructions from Zebra to connect your scanner.
- Double-click on the scanner to display its configuration screen.
- On the configuration screen for your scanner, check the "Current Mode" in the top right of the screen. It should show "USB - HID Keyboard Emulation". If it does not, your scanner isn't configured correctly.
Click on USB - HID Keyboard Emulation on the list under "Barcode data viewer" on the left of the screen. - Your scanner should now be configured correct. Confirm that the "Mode" is set to "USB - HID Keyboard" in the Data View of the 123Scan App.
- If you scan a LucidID in the Data View of the 123Scan App, you should see the LucidID code appear, with HID Data set as the "Type".
